I have been hired as the prosecuting attorney in charge of prosecuting the most well-known mass murderer in history, Osama bin Laden. *This next part is confusing and don't know how or where to start* Imagine for a moment that Osama was captured and brought to justice. You, as the prosecutor, will attempt to get a conviction for the lives he admittedly took on 9/11. What goes into your preparation? What will you do with the media and how they portray a mass murderer?
There are many aspects and concepts to consider in your preparation; such as his motivation, his characteristics, and the problems with investigating, prosecuting and punishing such a well known murderer. Touch on each one of these discussion points as you attempt to prosecute him, ensuring both a fair trial and that the victim's will have a voice. I am not looking for a legal analysis, only a discussion of his role as a mass murderer and the associated concepts mentioned above. Finally, what strategy should be employed to help aid in the prevention of such future catastrophies? The media wants to hear from you.
Any help or advice is appreciated. Or how or where to start, since this is something new to me and I'm basically stumped, ha. Thanks.
