They don't have to compensate you. You weren't fired, by the way, you quit. Either way, you can't get unemployment.
Employment in MO is at will, and they could have fired you on the spot even if you hadn't given notice without paying you at all.

Do some research. Write your state attorney general a detailed complaint. Apply for unemployment.

You may get nada, but you will vent and hopefully cause the company some grief!

not sure about compensation ( I doubt it )

but you can definitely get unemployment now.
