Hi everyone,

I want to go on holiday in 2012 with my husband, son, daughter, sister in law, my brother and my niece but don't know where to go. We were thinking somewhere tropical maybe Egypt? Somewhere like that! Any recommendations? And what company could I book it through?

Again as said earlier your budget make sure you have the right amount, it might look like a good deal but is it self catering? If you want to go self catering work out how much it would cost to buy food everyday and drink plus how much it would be if you wished to go out at night?

Different places have different weather some places you may think are too hot some places you will think are too cold for a summer holiday. My personal advice would be Europe or Africa, but you should know where you like. Where have you been before and what did you like about it. Im guessing you have had a holiday before whether it was Domestic (Within UK) or International.

Another thing to consider is which is cheaper Package Holiday from Thomas Cook or Thomson or something like that. Or buying everything separate. Hotels bought on Expedia, flights booked on Ryanair and transfers bought on resort hoppa?

Also when using a company make sure it is ATOL and ABTA protected this will help you in case the company goes bust. I guess you will properly already know that thinking about it :S

Go to your nearest travel agent store and have a look at family brochures every travel agent store has one Thomson will have there own and so will Thomas Cook. Have a look at the places and prices. Also when looking at flight keep an eye on the flight times. You won't want an evening flight if you have children who are complaining they are tired but have to stay awake while they wait in the airport to board a plane.

Hello Nicola. I guess the first question to ask is "what is your budget?". With so many of you, one quite good option is to rent a house or villa. This is more practical in Europe, the States or Australia.

I personally have travelled the world and my favourite places are anywhere but the mediterranean. I love Thailand and Malaysia. I also love Japan (but as a group it may not be the best location). How about hiring a couple of camper vans and touring the States?

A cruise is also quite a nice option. You are together but you can also separate and do a multitude of different things....they cater for all ages and preferences.

In the last year we were go on a holiday at bali who is my most favorite destination and i always want to visit this awesome place,we really have to do lots of things at this lovely place,one thing that i want to say that never left the chance if you got to visit this lovely place, thanks for this superb sharing....
