I went to talk to the police to help my friend -- did I make things better or worse?

Postby matchitisiw » Sun Jul 22, 2012 2:36 pm

Hey guys,

So my friend Madison has been charged with attempted murder because she shot her boyfriend who had punched her when she broke up with him at a party. She shot him in self defense, and I have a video tape to prove it!

In the video, you see her break up with him and he punches her. She falls on the ground, and he takes out a pocket knife and starts screaming: "IMA CUT YOU UP B!*CH" and then she points the gun and says: "Don't make me do this" and he says: "**** you!" and he runs toward her with the knife and she shoots.

This other girl Ashley (who we hate) got witnesses to pretend that didnt happened, but I had video tape!

She was out on bail and cant afford a lawyer, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I put on a professional looking business woman outfit, a pair of heels, I did my hair up and put on glasses and carried a bunch of files (it was just old school work) and I walked into the police station and said I am Madison's attorney and I have evidence which needs to be seen.

I showed them the video and they were shocked, and said this greatly effects her case.

I left.

Did I make things better or worse?

Better, not only will the charges against her get dropped, but Ashley might get charged for lying.

I hope that it helped her but you never know what the police think.

Better. You proved it was self defense. Unless you made this up.

I think u made a good choice but cant uh get in trouble by faking the attorney thing? But other than that I dont see how that could have made it worse

besides pretending to be someone your not you did good in fact i think that was the best thing you could have done. but seriously you shouldn't have pretended to be her attorney. that could have got you AND HER in a lot of trouble. you should have gave the police the video as yourself and if they just turned you away had your parents or someone else turn it in with you there. you did the right thing just in the wrong way. but sometimes you have to do the right thing in the wrong way. just be careful you are on thin ice now

Well, #1, you'll go to jail for portraying 'an officer of the court' #2, WHY did she have a loaded weapon? #3, the cops don't believe a word you said, young is young~ no matter how you dress. #4, odd you had time to get ready to capture on a video. #5, how'd she afford bail if she can't pay for attorney?
Just sayin'......

Well I would say you made things better, because you showed them some evidence that benefits her case. But it's definitely bad she even had a gun on her to begin with, but then again her ex also carried a weapon.
You guys should really think more about walking around with weapons like that, some day someone will get hurt.. It's not toys you know, you're friend or her ex could have been dead by now.
