Ideas for my law project?

hey, i just got this project in law 1011 which is as follows:

"Adam Hill was a famous, kind and generous movie star with a great reputation for helping children’s charities. A tabloid makes the false claim that Hill was a child molester causing many of his charities and causes to fall apart and costing his foundation millions of dollars. Should Hill’s family be able to sue the tabloid for defamation even though he is dead? Break your group into 2 opposing sides and argue yes or no on this with research from notes, text and internet sources."

im supposed to argue that hill's family shouldn't sue for the claims. except im a little clueless as to how to go about it. any ideas??

I think you are supposed to argue that what the tabloid did was not defamation. Maybe it would be easier if you argued one side as the Hill family and the other side as the tabloid.
