If ancestral property is acquired after the divorce, has that property to be shared with the divorced spouse?

Sir/Madam,
I am giving below the facts in chronological order and crave for your advice:
1. My ex-wife and I are Canadians of Goan/Indian origin.
2. We were married on November 25, 1979 in Bombay, India.
3. Since October 18, 2008 we have been legally separated (for purposes of division of assets).
4. The legal separation agreement was signed in June 2009 and took effect from March 1, 2010.
5. During our marriage, my ex-wife had acquired a sizable chunk of family inheritance in India before the date of separation which was not shared as per Ontario laws.
6. The date of separation for purposes of division of assets was determined as 18 October 2008.
7. All joint assets in our names as on October 18, 2008 were divided equally.
8. My father had willed some property in Goa to me, but, no action was taken to transfer my father’s property to my name.
9. As on October 18, 2008 and even on March 1, 2010 (when the separation took into effect), the property was still in my father’s name.
10. The property is now in the process of being transferred to my name. The transfer process has not yet been completed.
11. My ex-wife has expressed her desire for half the share of the property that is being currently transferred from my father’s name to my name.
Please advise what my options to property rights are under the Family laws of Goa, India, including, but, not limited to The Indian Divorce Act Sec.24 Vis-à-vis Family laws of Ontario under which I have received a Divorce order and have been legally separated since October 18, 2008 with the legal separation agreement executed as on March 1, 2010.

Thank you kindly.

No. She has no claim on your inheritance at all. Do not even try to talk to her! She is greedy to the extreme.

If you are divorced, you have no further claims on her property or assets and she has no claim on your property or assets
