If im scheduled to work for one hour am i obligated to get 2hours on my check?

My job is startin to do once a week trainings for an hour. I had told my friend about it. He said by California law even if i work an hour they have to pay me for two hours. I cant find where in the labor laws for California it actually says that. if someone could post a link or something itd be greatly appreciated
