If Mexicans are all honest strong family values why is this family in Mexico helping a family fugitive?

If they do this in Mexico,certainly they will do the same in thing the U.S. and not turn in family members to police for all this talk about illegals and police is a scam, do you agree ? Brownsville Police Interim Chief Orlando Rodriguez said the investigation in the shooting of 21-year-old Yazmin Reyes of Brownsville is complete.

He said it was her ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old Victor Manuel Hernandez, who shot her five times at her home on Keith Lane.

However, Rodriguez said closing the case has become the challenge, since Hernandez is believed to have fled to Mexico to avoid authorities.

"At this point we do believe he is a fugitive in Mexico we think that he may be with family - someone is hiding him out,” Rodriguez said.

While Hernandez runs, Reyes, continues her road to recovery.

She lost a kidney as a result of the shooting, and suffered severe damage to one of her hands.

Adrian Reyes, her father, spoke to Action 4 News Friday and said his daughter was in Houston for the first of several hand reconstructive surgeries.

Police said they won't stop until they get justice for the young woman.

"We don’t know what his mindset is, but he needs to know that we're not going to forget about him and that we're going to continue to look for him,” Rodriguez said. “We've had cases that have taken years, but he can't run forever."

Adrian Reyes said the family has finally summoned the courage to return to their home.

His daughter, however, still can't stay there because the memory of being shot down in her driveway, still haunts her.

When she visits, her father said, she has to enter the home through the back door.

"The family is staying strong but of course they cannot relax,” Rodriguez said. “They cannot be comfortable in their own home because the suspect is still on the loose."

First of all, NOT ALL families are completely honest. There are the messed up ones as well like every other family you see around you. Though I personally believe that most of them are honest, good, hard-working people. We cannot judge because of one families mistake.

Second of all, it has to do with culture. The Latino family culture in unreasonably tangled. A mother would do whatever it takes to protect her child no matter who they are or what they have done. Family is first above all. It has to do with that strong belief that they hide a fugitive. I have no more answer than that. It may seem strange but that is just the way we live.

Its because there slowly taking over USA and are turning it to **** ive noticed on YA too that anyone against illegal immigration gets a stupid speech and a lot of thumbs down but im going to be blunt with it. If i were president id say everybody illegal better leave the country or first time your getting deported on the spot and if you try coming back you will be shot and put the US troops on the border and shoot any illegals trying to sneak into America. And that goes for every illegal not just mexicans but mexicans do make up a HUGE amount of illegal immigration If this isnt taken seriously soon America will be Mexico then all the illegals will go to Canda crying and whining like babys about " wanting a better life " which isnt true for most of them. The ones that do want a better life and come legally are perfectly fine tho i got no problem with them
