If republicans what to stop illegals why not a national id card and laws against hiring illegals?

they are against these because they want cheap labor and are paid off by big corporations, they dont want it stopped. we have a national id card or cards call the drivers license and ss card we just dont require employers to verify everyone is legal, and penalize employers that violate the law. make laws that cover all of this.dont say big brother we have it already

The problem is that Republican run agri business need the cheap labor that Americans won't do.

So, there is lax enforcement on hiring illegals.

Want proof - go to Alabama and watch the crops rot for lack of workers. The new motto in Alabama - be careful of what you wish for in a law.

It's already against the law to hire illegals. It's just not often prosecuted because you have to prove the employer knew the employee was illegal. That can be difficult to prove as long as illegals can get legitimate-looking documents.

I'm not sure how you expect every employer to be an expert at verifying documents, nor do I see how a national ID would be any harder to forge or any easier to verify than existing documents.

However, once you come up with these un-forgeable and easy-to-verify national ID cards that everyone will have to have, then we'll finally have no reason not to require them to vote. :)
