I received a speeding ticket in Leduc and the cop made the court date for a saturday, is the ticket null and void because court isn't open on weekends?

Hey Fellow Albertan

You must appear in court at the time and date assigned, however since it is scheduled on a Saturday, it could be a typo, in that case the ticket is voided. Regardless, you will still have to make an appearance in good faith on Thursday or Friday prior. Call your local police station and inquire just in case.

Twice, my husband was given an incorrect date. He showed up explained the situation and both times they voided the ticket.
