If your boyfriends father girlfriend is talking **** about you behind your back do u think u should confront?

ive been with my bf for 8 years. his father met a woman and has been with her for about 3. my sister in law came over yesterday and told me how the boyfriends fathers girlfriend was saying how i am so full of myself and how i think everyone is jealous of me and that i try to keep my bf from his family. I am extremely pissed at her and my father in law because this is not true, and it really bothers me that his fathers girlfriend has a problem with me. Since she has come intothe picture my relationship with my father in law has deteriorated. do you think i should confront them both? My boyfriend does not agree with what they were saying either

You should def stick up for yourself, but not in a defensive way. You want to confront her in the right environment without a lot of people around. Don't give her any reason to dislike you anymore than she already does. She will be more likely to resolve things with you if it's just the two of you. Be calm, use your words, do not yell or get violent in anyway. Let her know how you feel and show her that you can be a problem solver. This will work to your benefit in many ways. before you meet with her, make sure you think about the topics you want to discuss, think about what her responses MIGHT be, but never assume that you know what she is going to say because she could suprise you.
