Illegal alien children get to stay but kids brought here legally is shown the door: Does this seem fair to you?

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- An English-born Missouri woman whose uncertain immigration status could mean a permanent return to her birthplace will seek help from politicians and immigration officials in Washington.

Lauren Gray, of Trenton, turns 21 in early August. She has lived in northern Missouri since her British parents arrived on a work visa when she was 4 years old.

President Barack Obama recently announced a new rule that stops deportation proceedings against law-abiding immigrants brought illegally to the United States as children. The "deferred action request" could affect 800,000 immigrants, but the rule won't take effect before Gray's departure deadline expires.

The Stephens College graduate planned to leave for London on July 31 to live with an aunt. Instead, she'll travel Monday to Washington hoping to bring attention to her case.

If you were born here, you are an automatic US citizen. Your example shows that British woman came on a working visa with her parents, once that visa expires she is here illegally, and elligable for deportation, plain and simple. Hopefully we can come to so arraignment to make exceptions to anchor babies and deny them citizenship. Is it fair for a man to stal $100 and serve 5 years in maximum security against a wall street executive stealing $1.5 billion and serve 2 years in a club Med?

Its about votes and power, its simple, Obama needs the Hispanic votes to get reelected.

The announced deferred action for children brought to the US applies to
those who came with visas as well as illegally according to my understanding of the announcement. See it here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

I believe that in order to qualify for the Obama scheme a migrant had to have no pending immigration actions ongoing against them. But since the British ex-pat community doesn't represent a large voting bloc it's certain nothing will be done to spare this woman's deportation.

Special Immigrant Juvenile Status “SIJS”. Once a petition for SIJS is approved, the petitioner is immediately eligible to apply for lawful permanent residence. The process to obtain SIJS however, is a complex mix of state and federal law and unless a child applies for before turning 21, what is probably their only chance to remain in the U.S. permanently and lawfully,
