Does AZ law state that a landlord must register with the state to be a legal landlord, capable of charging rent? Sources that give additional information on how to register and what the penalties for not registering are appreciated but not necessary. Thanks :)

Arizona requires that owners of rental property have on record with the local assessor (n the area in which the property is locaed) certain information relative to ownership, agents of service, etc. The requirements are outlined in SS 33-1902 of the statutes. Contact the local assessor for further information.
