In the wake of the Aurora shootings, do you think fun laws will be tightened?

I was watching Piers Morgan a couple nights ago and he had Bloomberg on and he basically said policemen should go on strike until people give up their guns bc we put cops in dangers..that's interesting, bc I'm pretty sure in Cali a few days back cops started shooting people with "rubber bullets" so were protesting peacefully about a cop who shot a suspect for no real apparent reason..so it kind of seems like we need to protect ourselves from the police at times.
Also on Piers Morgan he had some d bag high up district justice on who said " if I could ban all semi auto weapons I would "..pretty direct statement. I believe gun violence is a big issue in the states but contrary to belief, it happens more among unlawful gun owners with the exception of Aurora..I don't think they should ban all semi auto weapons to lawful gun owners, I do however believe I shouldn't be able to go online and buy tactical gear and bullet proof vests..what do you need tac gear and a bp vest for? Except maybe hunting with Dick Cheney lol.

What's your stance on gun lawful ownership protected by the 2A, should the grip he tightened bc psychos can buy guns lawfully?
Should they just outright ban all guns?
Should you be able to buy tac gear and bp vests?

They're appealing to the stupidity of most of the population to move towards banning guns. They put it in small words like,

James Holmes shot people.
If there were no guns, he couldn't have shot people.
Therefore, ban guns.

But Holmes also had bombs in his house. I'm pretty sure we have a ban on bombs, but -surprise!- that didn't stop the criminal from getting and using bombs.

In the end, banning guns will be just as effective as banning marijuana: People who need it can't get it; the black market gets filthy rich off selling it; it's more readily available to kids since it is not taxed and controlled. I guarantee this will happen with guns as well. But the masses don't think critically enough to see this.
