If you are not under arrest, and you are locked in a vehicle with no means of escape, then that is false imprisonment and you are allowed to use whatever means you deem fit to escape. Though i doubt the judge will agree.I was arrested for drug paraphenalia and being intoxicated under the age. I was taken to the police station to be processed, and then the police told me they would take me home to be generous . During this whole time at the station I'm highly intoxicated, and disoriented. The policeman decides to take off my handcuffs, and puts me in the cop car by myself while I'm still intoxicated, and leaves me there with no supervision for a good amount of time. I passed out, and woke up half asleep from a nightmare. I'm in complete shock as I totally forgot where I was, and all I knew was that I was locked up in a car in which I couldn't get out of. Without being handcuffed, I busted the window of the police car's window and got out. I didn't do it to be a menace, or to cause trouble. They only charged me with injury to personal property. Could I possibly get this dropped? Did the police do anything wrong in this?
