Hello,
If you have the issue without remote start installed, you need to find out what the current problem with the PASSLOCK is first.
Unfortunately, dealer only for diagnoses and repair and there are no other options. It is a 10 minute with the key on then off three times to reset meaning a 30 minute time frame.
What I would check first is if there is a fuse for theft deterrent or passlock in which it is not holding memory from a blown fuse.
In theory, the alarm install even with a starter disable should have nothing to do with the passlock.
Once fixed, you should be able to contact Crime Stoppers technical help. I have worked with Howard(founder of Crimestopper)since the late 80's and have confidence in their product. Besides, Crimestopper is one of the few alarm companies that was not bought out by California US rep. Daryl Issa's Direct Electronics also known as DEI.
In fact, up to a couple months ago, I had seriously considered getting back into installing Crimestopper products until finding out of a new physical health issue on my part.
After you get your passlock issue repaired, I have the utmost confidence that the Crimestopper technical assistance will walk you through the installation of their product. If you have issues contacting them, write me at
[email protected]
and I will shoot Howard an e-mail. Crimestopper has been around since at least the 80's and if they had issues with technical service, they would have been swallowed up by DEI like Maxigard, Clifford and the like.
Let me know if the passlock repair was as simple as a blown fuse.http://www.autotheftexpert.com
