Interstate Compact from Oregon to Texas?

Postby bardoul » Wed Dec 31, 2008 5:31 pm

On June 1st, I will have been out of prison for 6 months. I am trying to get information on whether or not I would qualify for a transfer. (without alerting my PO about what I'm thinking... just yet.)

Charge was Attempted Assault II
Restitution and Fines are small... less than $700 and in the process of paying.
I have been in full-compliance of my supervision in Oregon.
Currently I reside with my mother.
Would be moving in with my father in Texas.
I have completed all of my programs (anger management etc..)

Not sure if I'm leaving anything out... I don't know much about criminal law (first-time offender) and am really in foreign territory here.

What would I need to do and what would the requirements be to accomplish this move?

Thank you!

1st u need permission from your PO, then u have to see if Texas will accept you there for the remainder of your probation, and last your dad has to pass all the background info in Texas, such as no criminal record or drugs, or weapons.
