Is computer science + law--->intellectual property law the road to riches?

Contrary to all of those who have answered your question negatively, I beg to differ. The area of Law has many boons, especially that of Intellectual Property Law. However this area of law is not just solely for computer science, it involves the realms of Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights (Inventions, Logos, and Songs/Movies/Videos, respectively). This is a very lucrative and interesting field to be involved. Sure entrepreneurship has it's advantages, however there are a large number of risks as well. You have many expenses, investments, etc. So unless you're economically savvy and certain that your business is bound to do at least decently well, I wouldn't dabble in that area. I've always appreciated Law and what it has to offer, not to mention the technicalities and advancements seen in Patent Law. I'd say give it a shot man. If it looks interesting to you, there is a professional job as a Patent Attorney that awaits you with a title and a nice income as well. If you have any more questions about Intellectual Property Law, feel free to ask, thanks!

No. The road to riches is being an entrepreneur -- a businessman. A legal background will help you, but education often be too overstated. People who become rich become rich because they are great businesspeople -- and most are excellent at sales and marketing themselves.

You can be a lawyer with a degree from Toilet U and make great money by being an entreprenuer and starting your own firm. In contrast, you can have all these fancy degrees and be making 60k being a drone associate attorney pushing paper at a giant mill law firm.

Get your law degree and get some experience. If you want to be rich, start your own little law firm. You will start as a sole practitioner, and if you are any good at sales and business you will succeed. If not, you can always work as an associate for somebody else.

The road to riches is selling **** people don't need while coming up with a clever way of convincing them they absolutely need it.

That doesn't even make mathematical sense. And that's coming from a libertarian who thinks file sharing should remain legal.

No. Equities traders are now the highest paid individuals that there are, surpassing CEO's last year.
