a dealership hasn't sent the title to the lender and started the registration process with the dmv? I'm in California. I purchased a used vehicle, in December but wasn't financed until January. It's now almost April, my lender doesn't have the title, and I don't have registration. My contract doesn't have a time frame, but the DMV told me that the dealership had only 30 days to file an application or they would accrue penalty fees. Now, I love our truck, but since the dealership has been lying to me, saying they sent the title and application, I would like to return the vehicle to them if possible, I'm thinking they sold me a vehicle without having possesion of the title, isn't this illegal? Again I live in California, if I need to get a lawyer I will, I would like to take my business somewhere else!
