Is it possible for him to do this?

Postby macquaid35 » Sat Jul 21, 2012 6:20 am

My stepfather's a dick and he won't turn the a/c on in 100 degree weather (we live in CA) so I bought a fan. He saw it and said that if I didn't turn it off, he would throw it away - I must question the legality of this because it is MY fan. I'm fifteen years old, by the way, and from my understanding, he has no legal claim to the fan and cannot, by law, dispose of it since it is not his property. This is, however, his house. If I choose to not comply with his wishes and keep the fan running as long as I desire, when I desire to, do I directly violate the owner's wishes, thus giving him the right to remove it from the premises? Thanks, guys. This is all so stupid.
