Is it true the only "rights" Americans have is the right to property?

Postby armin » Wed Aug 01, 2012 6:01 pm

In other words, we may own our house, but we don't own the land (the government owns it hence property taxes). We have the "right" to bear arms BUT we must get a license aka another tax therefore it is considered a privilege not a right... ETC...

Your thoughts?

Anytime you think you have rights, google Japanese Americans circa 1942.

paying property taxes for police and fire, and road maintainance, etc is fair and just...
but school property taxes are NOT, they should be based om income/sales...
no one should loose their home over school tax.

There used to be a time in US history where people could keep everything they earned. But not any more. Adding to this problem in more current times are Democrat presidents like Carter and Obama who believe those who earn what they have should be made to pay for others who haven't (or won't) take the incentive to earn, yet still want the same things as those who are self-sufficient.
