Is Marketing Right For Me?

Hi Mr. Lingham

I'm a college junior currently taking up Pre-Law, I'm also minoring in Marketing--cuz it's interesting. However, I'm the type of shy person who doesn't enjoy working in student organizations, feels uneasy with socializing and definitely not a sales person material. However, I do enjoy coming up with ideas, thinking out of the box, etc... that's why I enjoy reading marketing books, observing ads, campaigns, etc...Do you think I should pursue a career in marketing/advertising, etc...? Or should I just stick with Law School?

I  appreciate  your situation.

At  this  age,  the  choice  is  always  difficult.

I  will  make  a   small  suggestion  here.

Take  an  aptitude  test  and  clear  some  of  the  doubts.

The  questions   are  centered  around  

-personal  interest

-personal culture  leanings

-career  interest/ why

-subject interest

-career  plan

-career  goal

etc

MY  PERSONAL SUGGESTION ON  THIS CAREER  

-Continue   with your  law.

I  think  it  is close  to  your  personal  culture.

-Continue  with the  law  and  try  to  complete  your  MASTERS  IN LAW.

try  to  specialize  in  INTELLECTUAL  PROPERTY .

The  advantage of  this  career

-it  will keep  close  to  your  personal interests like  creative  thinking etc.

-it   will also  keep  in  touch  with marketing ,  as you  tackle

the  intellectual  property   cases  in

*advertising copy  matters.

*marketing  of  products [ design  copying]

*logo  problems

*trade  mark   misuses

*copying  product  names

etc etc.

I  THINK   THIS  IS  THE   AREA  WHERE  YOU  CAN

COMBINE  YOUR  UNDERSTANDING   OF  LAW / MARKETING

INTO    A  GREAT  CAREER.

SO  CONTINUE   WITH  YOUR LAW /  minor  MARKETING.

IF  YOU  DO  WELL  IN  YOUR CAREER  PATHING,

MONEY   WILL  FOLLOW.

LITERALLY,   YOU  WILL  BE   WRITING YOUR OWN  CHEQUES.
