Is my grandmother resentful of my interracial relationship?

So, I'm in an interracial relationship of 1 yr (friends for 3 yrs prior to dating.) I'm black and he is hispanic. We plan on getting engaged, and both of our families are excited for us...except for my grandmother on my father's side.

Granted, I really shouldn't care what she thinks, but she's ALWAYS AROUND. She spends a great deal of time at my parent's house. (Where I currently live for the next couple of months, transitioning into finding a new place.) My mother made the mistake of gushing about her "son-in-law" to which my grandmother promptly replied:

"That boy is paper thin. I don't like him. They aren't staying together. And when he gets sick of her, and leaves her, all of you are gonna come back to me and tell me I was right. Races aren't supposed to mix, and her kids would have a hard life and turn out ugly. Those relationships aren't meant to last."

Besides it being a generation thing, why does she curse my relationship? JUST BECAUSE HE ISN'T BLACK?!! Mind you, she dated a BLACK man for 25 years, who cheated on her with numerous women until she left him when my dad finally met my mom and moved out. She never married. An Italian man used to come to her job every day and ask her to dinner and she said no, because he was Italian.

I almost feel like she's....jealous. And doesn't want me to be happy, even if it means finding love beyond skin color.

What can I do to keep the peace, especially when I'm adamant about cutting her from my life, when my parents don't want me to?
