In my city, they're good guys. In the city adjoining mine, they are corrupt.

Good cops overwhelmingly outnumber bad ones. The bad ones get so much press because they're entrusted with so much authority.

On base, we have the MP's. Well, I can rough them up and scare them into not giving me a ticket. They are lazy, crooked and will take advantage if you let them. Most of them are snot nosed lil yunggins that aren't even old enough to drink in the US. The older ones are ok, but they send out the lil whippersnappers who then sit on the side of the road with a ticket pad just hoping to use it up. At least on base, the tickets are only points and no cash. Off post, we have the Polizei. They have a reputation for being no nonsense and yes..they are legally allowed to beat your butt if you even just get smart with them. But, they are pretty nice guys. Reliable. Honest. They can also drink some beir and make some awesome brats. The guys here in this village can also dance a mean slap dance.
