Isn't windows 8 a copy of iOS?

Postby laureano97 » Wed Aug 01, 2012 3:31 am

the only difference i see in my win8 pc and iPad is that iPad is more faster, instead of having spaced out icon they have large ugly 2d boxes and the animation to open a particular app is different.

if apple is trying to patent all their hardware design and software won't microsoft and android have to remodel their os, so does that mean that we will see a win 8 which will be completely different than it's consumer preview?

Windows 8 is not a copy of iOS.

Microsoft is trying to now implement their Metro interface (earlier used on Windows Phone 7) into the Windows OS. Plus, they will release just one version of Windows for desktops and tablets.

There are a lot of differences under the hood. Actually IOS and Android are essentially developments of an OS called BSD -- Linux is a BSD-derived OS and Mac OS X is a BSD OS. Apple is using these patent suits and frankly is making enemies where it used to have friends. Some of us are really afraid of what is going on there. But Metro is not a copy of iOS. It's a VERY cheap and somewhat dangerous knockoff, yes, but not a copy. The UEFI boot which in a sane world would get it prosecuted by most world governments is a gift to the malware writers who as soon as Windows 8 certified devices are enabled will be reading the bioses to harvest the codes they can sell for spambot virtual machines.
