Job opportunities for Quantity Surveyors?

I'm a Quantity Surveyor with approximately 5 years experience. I've recently completed a 3 year masters course in construction law and arbitration. Has anybody ever done this course from a similar background? If so what sort of opportunities has it opened up. I was hoping to make myself more employable by increasing my knowledge on construction contracts but work in construction in these times is thin on the ground. Does anybody know of any niche areas which would be worth trying out?
