Judge?

If filing a 13, do you have to face a judge. I have anxiety and anic issues and that part really scares me. Thanks again for all the help.

Judge?

You'll need certainly to attend a 341 Ending Up In the Ch 13 Trustee. The judge doesn't attend 341 Conferences. Many people believe the 341 Meeting seems a lot like "courtroom" however it is not (officially) since no judge exists. The Trustee isn't a judge.Usually if you'll find various proceedings, etc. prior to the bankruptcy judge your lawyer may represent you at these. The majority of the time (although not in definitely ALL cases) you don't need to appear personally if your attorney is appearing in your behalf.Obviously if you do not have an attorney and are representing yourself, you (acting as your personal attorney) might need to appear at any hearings that occur. Many customers represented by lawyers document and finish their bankruptcy cases and obtain their discharges without actually appearing before a bankruptcy judge in person.
