Just How To Determine Part Of Healthcare Costs Owed

Postby Montay » Thu Mar 06, 2014 2:22 am

My problem requires child-support within the state-of: MA
Based On our court order for child-support, my youngsters' dad and I are each responsible for paying 50% of the medical health insurance. This has not been a problem until now once we have been on free health care while I was unemployed but now I've health care provided through my work. How do you determine the part he owes? I spend $183.88 per month for a household healthcare strategy, including myself and both children. Does he spend 1/3 of this? Do I cut it into 3rds and he then gives 50% of 2/3rds? Do I consider the difference between a person plan and family plan and he gives 50% of that difference?
I already approached the DOR to attempt to obtain the real cost order altered and they virtually blew me off and said he is able to spend it and retain bills... However they never specified just how to determine that 50% quantity...
Any support is appreciated! Cheers!

The absolute most reasonable answer could be he gives 1/2 of the distinction between a person strategy and a household plan.

The most logical solution would be that he pays 1/2 of the difference between an individual plan and a family plan.

That doesn't make sense to me... why pay half the differnce of individual and family? My ex is ordered to pay half of health premiums too. If I bought her a single plan it would cost more! I am saving everybody money by having the family plan. I was told by an amicus attorney that the way to calculate is to take the monthly amount and divide by family members and he is to pay half of that.
