Labor law about federal and or state pay (in an llc. based co.)?

Postby chadburne48 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:25 am

I live in Wisconsin (I know I know). Does anyone know if there is a Federal or Wisconsin State Law that restricts one's work pay by a certain percentage (I thought that a co was restricted to reducing your pay by around 20%--or something like that).

Please site the law or the source.

if the LLC is making a profit of $10000 and you pay yourself the $10000 as wages, it becomes suspect, yes

"... corporations must pay reasonable compensation to a shareholder-employee in return for services that the employee provides to the corporation before non-wage distributions may be made to the shareholder-employee."

Generally, if you could hire someone to do what you do for your wages- or you'd do it for that elsewhere- that's reasonable.
