question long but plz help

ive worked at a 76 gas station for about 7 months
i worked for 5 days a week 8 -9 hours and for a month i would work upto 16 hrs a day..6am-2pm then 2pm-10pm..
while working there i was mistreated verbally alot and physically on about 4 or 5 instances..
-no paycheck stubs-
-no breaks
-would not be aloud to eat ( even tho i worked all day)
-if i was short they would take it out of my chek ( 112$ short one day -dnt kno if thats possible- but they took that too)
-no overtime
-was called by foreign bad words by owner
-pulled and shoved by owner
-got paid half cash and half personal check
-got paid late every time (about 4-5 days)
the longest was 3weeks late
-ddnt get paid for a month because main owner (husband) was out of the country
-on days off they would call about 1hr before to MANDATORY come to work or else
-always cussed at us for any minor thing
-would harras me out of work yelling at me for stuff that went wrong


left the job for 4 moths n got called back to help because owner was out.. i agreed to help

recently
- got fired because a police officer went in the 76 and seen how hot the store was .. he said it was a violation for the workplace n the owner fired me because she said i shouldnt be talking to the officer..then apolagized n ddnt fire..
-then i called the owner because a switch was off and i ddnt kno how to turn it on.. she was so angry she got me from the neck and slamed me on the cooler and said i moved it..out of respect i never went off or disrespected her ..
-the day after she fired me for not being able to stay longer..

3 out of her 5 employees get the same treatment w late pay etc
i was 20 wen i worked and sold alcohol
ab17 yo worked there too and sold cigarets and alcohol

im 21yo now and in california la county


can i do anything about this?

i felt so much stress do to this i took up smokin while working there

I believeed you until you stated the cop said it was a violation for the store to be hot. No law says that.
