Law question about land contract.?

5. Your 97 year-old great-grandfather recently entered into a contract for the purchase of real estate, for the amount of $2,000,000. Unfortunately, the land is really only worth about ½ that. In your opinion, he got swindled. You are anticipated to be his only heir and the beneficiary to his estate. Therefore, you were hoping he’d die with all of his money. You desperately needed this money to pay off your gambling debts. Is there any way he can get out of the contract?

Yes, at his age, you can argue that he is not mentally competent to enter into such an agreement. Get a lawyer immediately and have the contract voided. He can get his money back. Just at face value, this is obviously not a legitimate contract. Any attorney can tell you how to do this in your state. You can have yourself, or someone else, appointed conservator, to protect him and his estate.

Exactly what test or homework assignment are you asking us to help you cheat on?
Sure, there is always "a way."
Unfortunately, unless you can prove, to a court, that he was not mentally competent, you are sunk.
It is his money and there are cases where rich men have been sending money to Nigerian Princes. Stupid, but it IS their money.
