Looking For A Family Activity In Nj/nyc On Thanksgiving

Looking For A Family Activity In Nj/nyc On Thanksgiving

Postby bardoul » Fri Jan 31, 2014 6:51 am

I have guests coming from the UK who will be here over Thanksgiving. Apart from eating and watching TV, I am looking for ideas for places to go with them. Is everything closed?.... We are looking in the Northern NJ area or in Manhattan.

Looking For A Family Activity In Nj/nyc On Thanksgiving

One major choice... The Macy's Day Parade!  If you have a balcony or a friend's balcony overlooking the parade route that is cool.  That is what we are doing. Also, MOMA or Guggenheim.  Museums are always great choices for the whole family because there is usually something for everyone and if the weather is bad your plans aren't ruined. If there are kids coming along these are a couple of good ones: Children's Museum of the Arts and Children's Museum of Manhattan. Chinatown and Little Italy would be neat places that are so different from what other cities have to offer. If they are into art Tribeca and Soho are good.  Sometimes during times like Thanksgiving you can get good prices on Broadway tickets b/c most New Yorkers are gone and some tourists plan their time around the parade and that can be an all day event.  I hope that this helps.     danadiva 75 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
