Good morning Eva,
Thank you for taking the time seeking some information on how to start a new life in Jamaica !
I am not an expert in US Citizenship/Green Cards, but do know that most legal Inquiries should be addressed to the US Embassy both in Jamaica and the United States.
Immigration Laws vary depending on your future plans for your fiance to be husband, and would recommend that you indeed contact US Authorities for more precise information.
You however become a Jamaican Citizen by marrying a Jamaican, and will be able to work. You may ask to present to your employers a copy of your Legalized Marriage Certificate(and which you receive about 4 to 6 weeks following your Wedding), yet again, you will need to contact the US Authorities if they require other procedures, which I would be unaware of. Most marriages I perform are for guests visiting Jamaica for holidays, and I also do recommend they seek information on how to register their marriage in their country/state of residence.
I am sorry to not have been a little bit more helpful, and do pray for both of you to soon be married and enjoying life in Jamaica.
Isabelle
