Maryland jobs for 14 year olds?

I'm turning 15 this summer and I live in Maryland, and I've been looking for a job since March. I've interviewed at a few places but none of them accept me since they don't want to have to deal with the restrictions because of labor laws. I really want to get a job this Summer to start saving up Money, and to have something to do during the day. I also want to just gain the responsibility and work experience that I would get. please help?

I don't know Maryland law, but I believe minors can obtain a "work permit" in most states, allowing them to hold a paying job below the legal age. There may be work-hour limitations accordingly. I'm not a legal expert, but I did start working at age 14. If memory serves, that's the thing to do. Good luck!
