Misdemeanor Hit-And-Run (property-damage)

Postby ToniBraxton » Tue May 27, 2014 3:05 am

Our issue entails a traffic incident within the State-Of: California
Long story Brief. I ripped from a gas-pump without having recognizing it had been still mounted on my vehicle. I got out, reconnected the line and went inside to clean up. (I Have accomplished this once before so when I advised the clerk I was informed "Don't to be worried about it, it occurs constantly".) Later that Evening an officer turned up in the home to express the gasoline station delivered named and confirmed them a monitoring movie with me tugging from the push. I told him precisely what occurred and paid my (legitimate) insurance info. He explained I should not be worried about it he questioned anybody could press charges. A couple weeks later I had been approached by my insurance provider. I described it for them plus they cheerfully paid out the insurance state towards the gas station. I am currently being Billed using the hitandrun. I visited courtroom today and was informed that I'd be fined 0 plus three years probation and 10 times neighborhood support. I believe this consequence is very high. I expanded my arraignment and so I may talk to an attorney. Is there something I will do not to have this type of significant impact on my entire life? This situation continues to be solved civilly between myself and also the gas station. Should not that count for anything?

first things first the very first time they forgave you and taken care of the damages.
The 2nd period you didn't state should you allow the worker learn of the damage.
Principle #1 contact law enforcement to allow them to document an incident record,
Principle #2 contact your insurance company.
They might have submitted departing the picture of the accident.
When the authorities are participating it's from the patients fingers it becomes a municipal matter.
