My boyfriend got 2 tickets tonight.?

He failed to come to a complete stop, so they gave him that ticket. Then as he sped away and got further up the road, another cop had a car pulled over. He passed the stopped police officer at 63 in a 60, and slightly moved over in his lane. He got pulled over again and was given a ticket that says his speed, but in the comment box it says "Faliure to yield for emergency vehicle."

1.) Can he just mail in the $95 to take care of the stop sign ticket?
2.) What does he do about the other? Is it a speeding ticket? Is it a failure to yield ticket? What does he do about this ticket?

It's a failure to yield, since that is what it says it is. And what do you mean when you ask what should he do? Tell him to just pay both. There should be instructions on the back of the tickets that tell him what to do. In most states tickets are payable online -- again, check the instructions on the ticket. They'll definitely have directions that clearly tell him how to deal with it.

wow.sorry to hear.no he has to pay for it at the court house place.he takes the ticket to that place and pays for it.and I think its a speeding ticket.it will say if its a warming or not.

The law requires that you either change lanes or slow down for an emergency vehicle stopped by the side of the road. Slightly moving over and going over the speed limit doesn't cut it.

I'd say it's failure to yield. They put the speed because States that have a move over law also allow you to come to basically a crawl IF you can't move over in to the other lane. So they are noting that he was still going far beyond the speed for passing on that idea. They also want the speed noted just for further proof of what an idiot he was being as they aren't likely to say he was 3 over the limit when it was a 60.

The second ticket is a failure to yield ticket, not a speeding ticket.
