My Bro In-Law Had Ab-day Celebration And Asked Everyone In My Own Hubbys Household Aside From Me. Do I've The Best To Be Mad?

Postby treven » Sun Dec 29, 2013 6:20 am

My husband, his parents and his three siblings all visited Ma on the family trip last summer. I wasn't asked because "I've children" nonetheless so does my companion. It produced me really feel just like I wasnt section of their household. My feelings are hurt by it. I at some point got over it nonetheless my buddy in-law is getting a opportunity cart racing celebration for his 30th b-day now and after far more everyone was asked but me. What need to I do? Other men and women coping with this exact same task? It hurts my feelings and makes me really feel undesirable

I could see where the brothers could get together, but not with the parents, too. As for celebrating a birthday, if they are married with chldren(and I'm sure they are), it's a family thing and a slight not to invite the wives(you). This is where your husband has to stand up and change the rules. He should explain that it's not fair, that they are married with families, and the wives are now part of the family. Stand your ground. This is not a little thing.   MaryAnn 17 months ago

You said "everyone in my hubby's family". Are you still married to his brother? How can he invite your husband and not you? If you are an ex, then that is another story. If you are still married to his brother, and he invited your husband without you, it's a real slight and I'd have your husband talk to him. Also, your husband should not go without you.   MaryAnn 17 months ago
