My passport one page is slightly torn by a travel agent during processing of malaysia visa. what to do now?

During one of my visit to india immigration officer at airport told me to go nearest embassy and write down a obsevation. while at embassy they r telling this passport is damaged so u make a new passport i donn know whether they will replace it or make a new one.

iam concerned that my passport pages r intact just a slight torn is it required to make a new passport. Can anyone tell me indian passport has any rules regulation, any constitutional law regarding this.
i am worried too much. plz help

anytime a passport is torn or damaged? you must replace it,the cost will be yours here is a link in Indian passports:

you need to get in touch with the local passport office and have to apply for a new passport, stating the reason to be in lieu of damaged passport, as i dont think there is an alternative incase of a damaged passport; nothing really to panic; there is a way out for everything; just go through the process.

Better visit PRO in RPO. They are best judge. Do all as directed. If damged, apply for duplicate with fee 2500/-
