No she can't to claim someones property after you take care of it or improve it it has to be at the consent of the owner and the improver.

Fencing laws and local ordinances can be pretty weird. Some do make neighbors share the cost of various types of fence. So, go to a real estate attorney, or go to the county offices and read the county ordinances and Texas code yourself.

It's a common fallacy that the person with the "pretty" side facing their property owns the fence. That's not true. If the fence is on your property, it's yours.

However, I did a quick search for Texas and Boyd fence statutes, and only found things specific to livestock, not regular yards.

If the fence is directly on the property line, you are considered to be "coterminous owners" of the fence. You could do some searching for law using that phrase.

there are laws that say if you take care of something for a certain number of years then that 'thing' becomes yours..

what do you mean by 'put the post towards her property..? from what I know a post has four sides, and not a front or back.. meaning you can't put it toward anything/anyone.

if you put a fence on your property, it would not matter which way you 'put' it. as long as it is not on her's.. you could put it upside down as long as it is on your side it is yours. not hers..

Double check with the building department in your county. In our area, it is an actual legal town ordinance that the "pretty side" must face out, and if you don't install it that way, you can be ordered to tear it down and turn the panels. It is actually the correct way to install it, and because the side with the bracing allows a foothold that a prowler could use to gain access to a yard, I think it's a safety issue, too.
