A long time ago (several years), I played a game about manufacturing goods and bringing them to the consumer. It was a strategy game, seen from above. The setting was from early 1900/very late 1800 to sometime in 2000. As the years passed, more goods would be made available, and more ways of transport too. The goods were manufactured in factories that the player placed on the map, and then transported from the warehouse they were initially placed in, to other warehouses, and then to stores which the player also placed in various cities on the map. During the years these cities (and therefor the demand of goods) would grow. Transport of the goods is a very large part of the game. The player could choose to transport the goods by trucks, trains, ships and aircraft. During the years, these would become more advanced, possibly with different models being made available in the same years as in reality. Examples of goods produced are milk, meat, etc. in early game, with more advanced stuff like cars later in the game. It's a very old game, with crude graphics, but the gameplay is wonderful, and I've been wanting to play it again for quite a while, but I simply can't remember the title.
Sorry if this is poorly structured. I will definitely give points to the right answerer, should there be one.
