Why hold the Americas to be singularly different than any other land in any other time in all of recorded history? Land and territory belongs to who ever can take it and hold it. It has always been that way.
So, no.

The problem is, who are the true owners of the land?

One group did not come over, declare themselves the rightful rulers, and register at the land office.

And what about the history of the Americas?
You, of course, believe that the noble savage, the Adam and Eve in the new world garden, lived in peace and harmony with all living things. The truth is a bit different and American tribes waged war and genocide with as much enthusiasm as their European brothers. So, if tribe A took Tribe B's land, and now that land is lower Chicago, who gets to pay the property tax?

And what about MY people? We are the only ones on record to actually buy land for good faith value from the tribe currently occupying the land? Can I get it back from the United States, who took it from Mexico, who took it from Spain, who took it from a loose group of people in the general area of their exploration? And if the original "owners" show up, who gets it then? I mean, I have a deed and all.

So, what do you mean by "true" and what do you mean by "owners of THIS land"?

Yes, I would give Native Americans a shot at it. They certainly couldn't do any worse than our current Immigration officials.

Native americans are the rightful owners of this country, therefore it should 100% be up to them what they do with THEIR land! Its funny how white people fight over something that doesnt belong to them!

The only problem with your repeatedly posted rant is that YOU are NOT a Native American.

Considering all the problems that plague the Native American communities and reservations, I don't think they should be given any more responsibility. They clearly are struggling with the responsibility they already have. Alcoholism is epidemic on reservations. Rapes are a common occurrence, usually going unreported. Unemployment is extremely high, usually due to sheer laziness. Unwed mothers are common. Crime is an everyday experience. Education is extremely poor.

Lisa A has the right answer here. Why do you always ask this same thing over and over?
