Hi Yahoo Community I am 19 years old and when to go apply for my first student loan for college. I surprisingly found out that my credit was used all the way since I was 13 years old ($8,000) of collections, bank accounts, and credit cards. I already filed a police report but they said there is probably little they can do. I feel like I shouldn't be responsible for the debt and am nervous that I may have to consolidate the debt or worse bankruptcy according to a friend. Is there anyway I can dispute this information and will it be hard to do and time consuming (days, months, years). What law(s) can I reference if any that says the credit reporting agencies have to remove this information from my credit report? Thank Yahoo Comunity!
