Not valid for work social security card and financial aid?

My parents moved to the United States when I less than a year old and I have lived here ever since- I am 24 now. I have a social security card that says "Not valid for work" yet I have still been able to get jobs with tax returns, etc. Does anyone know if my status is legal, or what I can do with it? I would really like to go to school but am not eligible for financial aid and don't know where to go from here. Thank you very much!

Ask you parents. If there is a problem it is their responsibility.

you are probably an Illegal ..the SSN in no good to you without an EAD
go back to your own country and have a real life

You are illegal, but all you can do is go back to "Your country"( you live here for 24 years United States is your real country) or wait for a law like the dream act to pass.

if u have no green card. probably u are undocumented.

How were you able to get jobs? Purely under the table? What did you fill into the I-9 form when accepting employment what your citizenship or immigration status is?
