On NPR they said consumer spending is down again- can the FED do anything?

The Fed has been the only reason why trucks are still delivering food to markets because Congress can't agree on anything.

Consumers run the economy. The only one that could fix it is big buisness , but they dont want to hier , so why not tax them to suport people that they laid off

i find it very difficult to believe anything on npr. in fact i don't even waste my time listening
