Patents, inventions, submitting ideas...who knows about this kind of thing....plz read on?

What is the best way to go about submitting an idea to an underwear company for a new idea that will completely change how we wear underwear.
Do I go to a Big named company itself and sell my idea...or do I hire a lawyer to handle this.( keep in mind i'm disabled and poor.) However my idea is rich and full of potential and I can pretty much guaranteed it's going to be a new trend that's going to explode once I get my idea off paper. I have already made the item and currently use it and OMG.... it's going to be HUGE!!!
How would one go about this??? I don't have the cha- ching to try and make them myself...so do i sell the idea and ask for royalties or do I just find an investor?

What is it with all these patent questions?

Get a book on how to create your own patent from a bookstore.

And do not fall for online scam companies.
Too many questions in such a short period of time. Something is going on.
