Polymer clay: selling online. Help?

Postby jan46 » Wed Feb 29, 2012 3:48 pm

So I'm going to start making things out of polymer clay and seeking them online.
Is this a good way to make money?
I'm 15 and I was wondering if they could like send me the money without having to use a PayPal or something online.

Can they send it directly to me and I send them the package directly to or is against some dumb online rule/law

you probably need a paypal for safe money transactions. i dont know too many people that are willing to send a stranger their money in an envelope...
your parents could always create a paypal account with their card, and give you the money that you earn from it.

as far as websites to sell your art, it depends on your skill level. if you excel in sculpting and consider your work worth $50 and above, then i suggest http://www.saatchionline.com/. it is a very professional and well-organized website. if you're not ready to commit to something as large-scale as saatchi, i suggest etsy.com. the only downside to etsy is that you have to pay a small fee for every item you list and sell on their website.

good luck!
