Rent-to-own legal questions.?

Postby dickens93 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:42 pm

I made a TV payment for a friend and now the rental company is coming and knocking on my door, looking in my windows, threatening to file charges on me for being in possession of stolen property. I asked them to leave last night, and the gentleman said "Thats okay we will be back tomorrow". He said if I didn't let them inside my home he would call the law, I told him to go ahead and he never did. He beat on my door so hard it put a dent in it. By law what can I do? I called the office where the guys work and spoke with the manager and I explained to her that my name nor my address was on the rental agreement and that I did NOT have their item. I even asked the gentleman if MY name and address was on the agreement and he said YES. I told him to let me see it because someone put have put something in my name, and he wouldn't let me look. Isn't it againist the law for them to discuss someone else's agreement with me?

Where in the hell do YOU live? I am very suspicious of YOU being the criminal that I do not know where to start to reply. The original creditor can do many things a collection agency can not. IF this is as you state why did you not call the police?

Get an Attorney, or get a restrainign order or go the place you hide the TV and return it.
