Republicans, why wont you stop sinning!?

Postby anson34 » Tue Jul 31, 2012 12:31 am

Why do you choose to sin. I simply don't understand it. You know that Jesus said, in Matthew 19:21, to give to the poor, yet you constantly oppose our President who is trying to help the poor as well as any form of welfare or healthcare for the poor. Do you not realize you are headed straight to hell if you do not stop this nonsense? You simply don't want to pay more taxes on your many pieces of property. Do you not realize that this greed will cast you straight into hell? There are many lines in the bible which speak of how major this sin (greed) is. You Republicans are always talking about how bad gay rights and abortion are in the eyes of God, yet you, so called "Christians" do not seem to be able to listen to God yourselves!

It is the liberals that are always whining about their freedom, they seem to not enjoy it as much as normal Americans.

Give to the poor not give to government to distribute to the lazy. It's amazing how liberals can put a spin on anything to fit their argument of the moment.

That's right. We are supposed to give to the poor. That doesn't mean we are supposed to have our money forcibly taken from us and given to the poor.

What's the value of doing a good deed if we had no choice in the matter?

You are assuming (accurately or otherwise) that they don't give money to the poor on their own.

Jesus indeed talks a lot about money and against greed. However, a Republican would reply that giving to the poor is supposed to come from free will, not from government coercion. Indeed, Republicans give more of their money to the poor than Democrats do, I assume because they're more religious. If taxes were lower, there would be more money to donate to charity or to hire the poor into paying jobs. (Whether fiscal conservatives would actually do the former is a different question.)

This must be a joke.

Why do liberals think paying taxes is comparable to giving to charity?

Following that logic, the government is god.

So, to liberals, the government is god.
