Search Warrants

A search warrant was served at my residence. It specified credit cards, ID's, mail and specific items purchased with credit cards. All they found was one fake ID. They confiscated two antigue shotguns and a rifle given to me by my father. They belonged to his father,(my Grandfather).

Is that legal? And does that invalidate the warrant?

I have a public defender in this case.(Access device fraud, conspiracy) He is doing the absolute minimun required, so I thought I would ask someone else.

Thank you
Cunningham

Dear K.McG.,     "Is that legal?"      Very likely.  But your attorney can move for the return of them as outside the scope of the warrant.     "does that invalidate the warrant?'     Definitely not.
