My husband and I both do not work. He was injured on the job and I have been a stay at home mom since my daughter was born. My daughter has a special condition which allows us to receive a monthly check of $739 plus food stamp benefits. My husband receives checks from the place he was injured, but it isn't worker's compensation and it is a non-taxable income. Social Security states that I am allowed to make up to $2000 a month and wouldn't be in jeopardy of losing any of the money or food stamps that the government gives us. The $739 pays our rent, gas, electricity and cell phone bill, and the food stamps take care of us a little more than half of the month. But the checks he receives fills in the blanks. We are taken care of, but it's not overly and completely comfortable to where we have no worries. Should I get a job to help smooth up the situation or keep doing the same thing?
